Preparations underway for the 17th edition of “Saudi Plastic and Petrochem Exhibition 2020” and “Saudi Print and Pack Exhibition 2020”
December 26, 2019 - The Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd announced that the preparations for the 17th edition of “Saudi Plastic and Petrochem 2020” and “Saudi Print and Pack 2020” are underway. The exhibition will be held under the diamond sponsorship of SABIC and Advanced Petrochemical Company from January 13 till January 16, 2020. The latest edition of the exhibition will showcase new innovations that have the potential to contribute to a more diversified and prosperous economy. It is expected to attract wide local, regional and international participation from various industry stakeholders to review the latest technologies, services and innovations that can enable plastic and petrochemical industries to be an active contributor to the growth of national economy.
The Saudi Plastic and Petrochem Exhibition 2020” will be held alongside the 17th International Trade Exhibition for Printing & Packaging Technologies, which will showcase the latest innovations, technologies and trends in the printing and packaging sector. It will provide attendees with a global platform to explore new opportunities; and will help them connect with various markets and customers from all over the world. In addition to facilitating communication among various industry stakeholders, the exhibition will also provide them with an ideal platform to showcase innovative products and pilot projects. The exhibition has evolved into one of the major local and international gatherings for the sector and continues to play a major role in shaping the future of industry inside and outside the Saudi Arabia Kingdom, while also contributing to the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 that aims to diversify the national economy.

The exhibition’s agenda this year include the “Saudi Plastics and Petrochem Summit” on January 14, 2020, and the “Saudi Print and Pack Summit”, which will be held on January 15 and 16, 2020. Both summits aim to align business strategies with industry dynamics to take advantage of emerging opportunities by bringing together senior stakeholders, industry professionals, representatives of the public and private sectors, industry gurus, decision makers, influencers and the most prominent global solution providers to explore the latest solutions and technologies developed by leading regional and global players. Al Al-Sheikh added: 'We look forward to the opening of the “Saudi Plastic and Petrochemical Trade Exhibition 2020” as a major step forward in attracting new investments to the plastic and chemical sectors in Saudi Arabia. The sector’s export value accounts for about 60 per cent of the non-oil exports to the Kingdom, which in turn owns 67 per cent as part of the packaging industry’s share in the Gulf states. It also represents 70 per cent of the total trade volume in the region, and as the primary economic hub of the Middle East, these sectors, along with the printing sector, will play an important role in the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve economic diversification.”
