Al Falak successfully installs Eaton 9PHD UPS in Saudi Arabia for the first time
Next generation 9PHD UPS unit installed and tested at Ulker Saudi Arabia’s facility
Oct 8, 2019- Al Falak Electronic Equipment & Supplies Co., a leading information technology (IT) and communications solutions provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), recently achieved a milestone after successfully completing the installation and testing of Eaton 9PHD 200 kVA heavy-duty industrial UPS for the first time.
Al Falak installed the next-generation Eaton 9PHD UPS, which is designed to maintain a steady, uninterrupted, clean power supply, in the manufacturing facility of food manufacturers company Ulker Saudi Arabia.
Ahmed Ashadawi, President and CEO, Al Falak, said: “We are happy to announce that the Al Falak team has successfully delivered, installed, and tested Eaton 9PHD UPS at Ulker factory. Although we have been distributing Eaton products for the past 15 years, this is the first time that we have provided and installed this next-generation product in the Saudi Arabian market. The new industrial UPS not only boasts small footprint, but it has also been designed with internal transformer options to make it ideal for use in monitoring, safety and control, and production applications. Ulker will significantly benefit from this advanced unit.”
The installation and servicing of UPS units are often considered challenging as they are traditionally located in hard-to-reach production areas. This has set Eaton 9PHD apart. It has a modular structure for easier installation and maintenance as well as a lifting lugs and wheels feature to make the heavy-duty unit easier to handle during installation, removal, and servicing. Additionally, it offers convenient front access and ample interior cable connection space to support quick cable termination and even the use of double cables.
Other key features of 9PHD UPS include protection against dirt, dust, water, and moist; conformally coated PCB boards; strong cabinet for vibration and seismic environments; 1.5mm cover plates for robust use; touch screen display for easier operation; redundant monitored cooling fans in each power module; and battery start feature.
It also boasts a strong design for demanding industrial environments; smart technology for maximizing reliability and minimizing operating cost; and easy deployment for optimizing installation costs.
Al Falak was founded in 1981 to assist and contribute to the technical modernization of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. Al Falak has played a major role in the IT evolution by serving a diverse clientele throughout the region, including government ministries and agencies, universities, and prestigious private sector corporations in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
