Events and activities to appreciate the women in the workforce 

Makkah, KSA (25 March, 2019):   Makkah Millennium Hotel and Towers, the luxury hotel serving the pilgrims coming to Makkah and located directly over the Holy Haram Piazza, celebrated International Women’s Day by organizing a series of events and activities to appreciate the contribution by female employees in the hotel and the hospitality industry.

Marking International Women’s Day celebration on 08th March, the female employees of the hotel visited King Abdullah Medical City Specialist Hospital for women to brighten the day of the patients and inspire them to improve their health and well being while also distributing gifts to cheer them up.

The hotel also honored the women in the organization by arranging a gathering at Al Andalus Restaurant. The social affair started with a speech by Nojood ALsabry, HR Executive followed by Mr. Saad Khayat, General Manager at the property who recognised the achievements of women and listing down action points to empower the women workforce in the organization, and encourage them to start a conversation that matters. As a token of appreciation, the property held a gift distribution ceremony for each female employee.
