Kempinski Focusing on Social Responsibility during the Holy Month of Ramadan
Riyadh, 30 May 2018: Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski Riyadh has launched a series of charity activities that demonstrate its strong belief in the importance of social responsibility. The Orphans Welfare Society (Ensan) received a special invitation to host a group of its children at a special Ramadan ceremony, and they were accompanied by another group of children from The Voice of Down Syndrome Society (SAUT).
The ceremony included the reception of around 50-70 children, aged between 8 and 19, in addition to staff members, who took care of the children during the event. Everyone was gathered for Iftar in an exceptional and entertaining atmosphere provided and supervised by the organisers of the Kempinski Ramadan tent together with the management of the associations.
Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski also held a ceremony in cooperation with the Zahra Breast Cancer Society, which was called 'Pink Suhoor', to represent the colour of the association. The patients received a warm welcome and they enjoyed top-quality service.
Mr Saeed Al-Aseeri, Executive Assistant Manager of Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski, said, 'This is a celebration that we are keen on organising every year to create a state of spiritual happiness and cheerfulness in the hearts of children who have lost their parents, or are sick and have endured difficult emotional times, and live with other families that love them, wish them all the best and support them to become successful people in the community in the future.'
The events were accompanied by the media to commemorate this day for the children, and through photos and videos, the children can treasure this memory of humanitarian solidarity. In return, they can share this joy with other children and give back to the community, resulting in a healthy society based on the teachings of Islam.
It is worth mentioning that Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski recently completed a blood donation campaign in cooperation with the Military Hospital in Riyadh and signed a series of social responsibility agreements, the latest of which was with the Charity Foundation for Orphans Care and the Saudi Food Bank (Etaam) who come daily to pick up surplus food from the Iftar buffet at the Kempinski Ramadan tent to distribute it to families in need.
