It's no surprise that Dubai is widely considered the culinary capital of the UAE. Its growing dining scene is a mix of beautifully decorated restaurants, famous chefs and Western and Eastern influences. You might have noticed the growing number of French eateries, a cuisine that’s famous for its fine ingredients and recipes. Let us take a look at some of the finest French restaurants in Dubai.

1. La Serre

La Serre is a relatively new French restaurant in Dubai that has got everybody talking about its lively atmosphere and diving dining. Part boulangerie and part bistro, you can enjoy breakfast, brunch and dinner here or simply stop by for a great coffee and a tasty pastry. The understated and chic decor gives it a refreshing atmosphere and the charming staffs are always willing to help you pick something off the menu. Speaking of which, you might find yourself enjoying goods such as fried calamari coated in plantain, prawn risotto with truffle and apple tart tatin. You can also choose to book the intimate Chef's Table, which seats up to 12 people and gives an insight into the kitchen. Definitely try out La Serre if you haven't done so already.

2. La Petite Maison

Winner of the Time Out Dubai Restaurant Award 2012, La Petite Maison is an effortlessly sophisticated restaurant with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The Niçoise three courses menu offers delights such as salad of endives, forum d'ambers and caramelised walnut, lobster tagliatelle and French toast with spice ice cream. From courgettes to lemons to olives to tomatoes, a lot of the ingredients used are locally sourced. There is also an extensive wine and whiskey drinks menu to enjoy your food with. It is the perfect setting for a catch up with friends, meal out with the family or romantic date.

3. Le Classique

As its name might suggest, Le Classique is a classically French dining experience. You will find the What's On Chef's Choice Restaurant winner at the Emirates Golf Club, so it's perfect for after leisurely day out. The dress code is smart and elegant and it is advised that you make reservations. Chef Remi Verrier gives the traditional menu a touch of contemporary with dishes including homemade foie gras terrine and spiced peach chutney, Guinea fowl breast, foie gras sauce, truffle essence and tortellini and a selection of cheeses from Hervé Mons, served with plum chutney. This is definitely one for those who live for French cuisine.

You are sure to have an exquisite dining experience at all three of these French restaurants. Such food is perfect for indulging moments, so get the family or friends together to enjoy it together. Ordering a dessert is also mandatory when ordering from a French menu, because they are just so delicious. Go on and treat yourself.
