India's Apollo Hospitals Group establishes patient services office in Kingdom of Saudi Arabiaa

Saudi Arabia, November 19th, 2014: In another first from Apollo Hospitals Group-India, an Apollo Information Center was announced in partnership with Dr. Varghese Moolan of Moolans Inc. in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This was announced during the 31st anniversary celebration of Apollo Hospitals Group. Moolans Inc. is one if the leading Spice exporters from India to GCC and has presence in over 30 countries.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr.Prathap C Reddy Chairman of Apollo Hospitals Group stated that, “Such engagements are the need of the hour and it adds to Apollo’s vision of making India the healthcare destination of the world.”

During this momentous occasion, Dr. Varghese Moolan, Chairman of Moolans Inc. and Chairman of Global Malayalee Council donated Rupees 5 Million (SAR 304,000) to Apollo’s – ‘Save-a-child’s heart initiative’.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Varghese Moolan stated that he is delighted to have such a partnership with Apollo Hospitals and he promised that it would help both the Arabs and Non-Resident-Indians of the GCC region especially people in Saudi Arabia.

On ‘Save-a-child’s heart initiative’, Dr. Moolan mentioned that as part of Moolans Inc’s CSR initiative, he would like to extend this advantage to deserving children in the state of Kerala too. The agreement was signed by Dr. Varghese Moolan and Dr. Srinidhi Chidambaram, Vice President, International Division, Apollo Hospitals.

Apart from the engagements in Saudi Arabia, Moolans Group is also planning to have an Apollo Information Center in Angamali near to Cochin International Airport.

Apollo Hospitals has successfully treated over 60,000 foreign patients from across the world in last five years and the numbers are looking up every year. NHS, UK alone has over a million patients waiting to be treated. Thousands of uninsured Americans now have the option to come to Apollo Hospitals for tertiary care needs. Similarly Africa, Middle East, CIS Countries in Central Asia and South East Asia present huge opportunities as the waiting time and expense are very high in other countries when compared to India.
