INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD CONVENES IN RIYADH
Riyadh: The International Scientific Advisory Board for Food Safety (ISAB) convened for its inaugural meeting at the headquarters of the Saudi Food
and Drug Authority (SFDA) in Riyadh on Tuesday, February 13.
The board members, who are experts in food safety from around the world, discussed key topics such as scientific risk assessment, food risk
communication, and developing solutions to reduce the causes of food poisoning incidents.
It is worth noting that the SFDA established the board as an advisory arm to provide scientific advice, support, and recommendations to
address key issues related to food and feed safety in line with global best practices. The board comprises seven experts, specialists, and officials from various scientific institutions and centers.
