The HIT® solar panel’s low-temperature coefficient provides high-efficiency even in intense heat

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, April 16, 2017

One of the highest efficiency solar panels in the world will be displayed Saudi Arabia Renewable Energy Investment Forum (SAREIF) 2017 by Al AbdulKarim Holding with Panasonic. Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF), in collaboration with its local partner Al AbdulKarim Holding (AKH), is showcasing the product at the event organised at Four Seasons Hotel, Riyadh on 17-18 April 2017.

The HIT solar cells have achieved the world record for highest efficiency of 25.6% in 2014. It is an ideal solution for power generation for a variety of applications both for residences and commercial buildings. In addition, to HIT® N330/N325 Powerful model, the Japanese manufacturer is also showcasing HIT® N245/N240 Slim and HIT® Double models.

Panasonic HIT® 330 is one of the most efficient solar panels in the world, and offers more power generation per square meter than conventional solar panels. It uses a unique heterojunction cell structure composed of monocrystalline and amorphous silicon layers to maximise the efficiency of each solar cell.

Unlike conventional cells, solar cells used in HIT® convert a higher percentage of the sunlight into electrical energy, in other words, the conversion efficiency is higher. This allows HIT technology to consistently offer the most value to consumers, and this technology has changed how the solar industry views high-efficiency panels. Besides these features, Panasonic HIT® has a unique structure that allows it to have the lowest temperature coefficient (-0.29%/°C), which aids them in maintaining high performance even in hot temperatures, and allows the panels to produce more energy even in hot climate.

Atsushi Karasawa, Sales Director, Panasonic Eco Solutions Middle East & Africa, commented, “Renewable energy development is a key component of economic transformation under Saudi Vision 2030, and there is substantial new interest and investment from government to foster solar energy. Solar costs have come down and growth in demand is seen for rooftop systems that can be integrated into city infrastructure, which offers opportunities in the sector for solution providers. Panasonic has been a forerunner in providing efficient solar solutions for over four decades, and we can bring value-growth to the sector with the experience gained from the successful projects such as Fujisawa Sustainable Town.”

“Saudi Arabia Renewable Energy Investment Forum is the perfect platform for us to highlight the latest sustainable living concepts which form the core of our businesses. Panasonic, with our partners, is committed to supporting the B2B and B2G sectors with our cutting edge and environment-friendly energy solutions,” he added.

Khalid Shehat, Regional Director, Al AbdulKarim Holding (AKH) said, “The rapid growth of the building sector in general and residential buildings, in particular, is creating a huge demand for renewable energy solutions in Saudi Arabia. While the government is keen to diversify energy base, customers are also investing into eco-friendlier products. With the growing demand for electricity, HIT® Solar Panels are the ideal solution to meet our customer’s energy needs.”

Panasonic has manufactured N330 solar panels using state-of-the-art techniques to perform at high temperatures with minimal degradation on quality or efficiency. Panasonic’s robust manufacturing process also provides installers and consumers additional value through a power output warranty of 25 years and Product workmanship warranty of 10 years. These Panasonic HIT modules are manufactured at Panasonic Factories at Japan & Malaysia.

Panasonic will be present at AKH stand in Kingdom E Hall.
